  • Theo Paphitis’ Ryman disrupts online greetings card sector

  • Shoppers can personalise through the Ryman App and collect from St Andrews to Penzance High Streets in just 60 minutes with this new, instant service for £2.99

  • Each card includes a charity donation to contribute to a £100,000 pledge to key dyslexia charities

130-year-old heritage high street stationery retailer, Ryman, has launched its first mobile app, allowing shoppers to design and pick up personalised greeting cards from their nearest High Street Ryman store in just 60 minutes, for ultimate customer convenience.  Customers will be able to collect their personalised greeting cards from over 190 Ryman stores, through an initiative driven by retail entrepreneur and TV dragon, Theo Paphitis, who is keen to disrupt the online greeting cards industry and help customers on the go.

Theo Paphitis, Chairman and Owner of Ryman, and Dyslexia Champion, said: “The Ryman app will now enable us to offer something completely unique in the online greeting card industry using the strength of the High Street. Like others, you can download the App and personalise one of thousands of cards, but what makes ours unique is that you can then collect that card in a Ryman store within just 60 minutes. So, if you’re a last-minute Larry or Lucinda, or just a commuter wanting to save on postage, this is a game changer.”

These cards will also provide donations for two excellent charities - the British Dyslexia Association and the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity, that we work closely with.  A percentage of sales will help those supported by the charities, and contribute to the minimum £100,000 of  support I have pledged from the Ryman business, helping to empower and build a positive mindset for those with dyslexia.”

Available from the Android and iPhone app stores, the handy new service will allow customers to browse, design and send over 2,000 greeting card designs, ready for collection from over 190 stores nationwide. Shoppers can personalise their cards with ease on the go from their mobile devices, with the option to add messages and upload images straight from their camera roll to add a personal touch to each card.  Customers can also access their Ryman account from the app.

Once ordered, personalised cards can be collected within the hour from any Ryman store nationwide for just £2.99, or be selected for convenient next-day delivery.
